2010 – Stuff that happened this year

I guess I should give a look at this year in review. It’s that ‘time of the year.’

I can’t say it’s been a bad year. I’ve done some interesting things.

The highest points are we’re going to have a boy. This evening if we’re lucky. We can use the tax break.

I published my story Send In on Amazon and Smashwords. It been a smashing underdog hit. You know, when the underdog gets beat up under the bleachers. Keeps on going though. A few sales. I probably need to market better. No one has said they hate it though.

I got to attend the final (sad) H.P. Lovecraft film fest in Portland. It was a good time. I wish it wasn’t the last. I didn’t even know about it until a couple years right after it happened, then missed the one after.

We moved, again, but I think we’ll be able to stay here for a while. It’s the best place we’ve been at.

I met Dan Wells and Scott Sigler.

Minecraft.

I did a bunch of podcasts for Compassion 365.

Probably the neatest things was that I finally, after 26 years of life, I found an honest to goodness gaming group. I’ve been wanting to play role-playing games for years on paper, around a table. I’ve managed to do it. I’ve even got to run some Call of Cthulhu games.

What about next year?

Write more. New kid will make it a challenge, but if I don’t write, I feel like I’m wasting away.

Be a better husband. I think I do OK, but I can do better, right?

Drink more water.

Get the < expletive > out of debt. In theory it can happen in 2011.

Be at least a bit more organized.

Study my favorite religious texts more.

I guess that’s the main bits. I hope I’m not shooting to low.

I rebooted my face for the new year

Well … it seemed like a good idea at the time.

It will grow back.

My daughter, 19 months old, keeps laughing at me.

I keep wanting to say ‘Make it so”.
